Welcome to our Dance Club
The year 2011 marked a special milestone for the Country Pride Dance Club as we celebrated our 20year anniversary. We were established in Red Deer, Alberta in 1991 for all of the Central Alberta community, and in that time period the club have done some amazing things, and taken it's members on a wonderful journey. From teaching students how to do a two-step, to taking our dance team to compete at a World Championship. Many of our members have went on to be competitors, teachers, and judges. Alberta has always been a hotbed for Country Western dance, and our club has been fortunate to be involved with the dance community over the last 20 years to see it evolve and mature. We have access to so many wonderful dancers, and teachers who love to share their passion of dance with everyone..... from teaching, demos, and competing our club has been part of the dance community over that time and we look forward to a very exciting future in dance, 2012 will be a fun year.....
Becoming involved with the club opens the doors to be involved with the opportunity to attend dance festivals, and workshops throughout the year to further your dance knowledge and skills. We also hold social dances (see events page), to practice your dancing, and are open to the public, and many times include an introductory dance lesson to start off the evening. This is a great place to meet people, make friends and dance the night away. Information on upcoming dance festivals, events, and competitions, are available through the dance club, and we encourage and support all forms of dance in the area.
Lessons
One-hour lessons are held Sunday evenings, starting at 8pm in Festival Hall located at 4214-58th Street, Red Deer. These lessons are open to the public and we plan our schedule in advance so you can attend the classes you like. We currently have world-class instructors Natalie Brooks and Dale Tosczak, and others providing lessons in country, line dancing, swing, and ballroom type dance at both beginner and intermediate levels to members and non-members. Please see the membership page for further details on full-year and half-year memberships Members have access to our online Video Library.
Demos
